HERE’S THE PART THAT BURNs

I wasted twenty years I can’t get back.

Two decades of my life were surrendered to a voice that didn't even like me. That’s time, energy, and memories that are just... gone.

I’m doing this because I don’t want that for anyone else. You don’t have to lose another decade, another year, or even another day to this parasite.

Drop Dead Ed (DDE) grew from my own journey with an eating disorder (ED) that controlled my life for 20 years. It stole time, energy, and confidence, and left lasting scars on my body and spirit. I spent most of my career in fashion — a world consumed with appearance, perfection, and constant judgment — a world that taught me just how easily our worth can become tied to what we see in the mirror.

For years, I struggled without the support I needed. Therapy didn’t help me early on. I felt trapped in cycles I couldn’t break — until I met a trauma-informed eating disorder specialist. That experience changed everything. It’s what brought me back to school to study psychology.

Today, as a licensed CCC (Certified Canadian Counsellor) based in Montreal, I combine that lived experience with clinical expertise to help others find the exit strategy I once went looking for.

After completing my Master’s degree, I spent years collecting a toolkit of specialized trainings that actually work in the real world. My approach is rooted in CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), but I know that simply trying to ‘change your thoughts’ is one of the hardest things a human can do when they are in survival mode. That is why I always work through a trauma-informed lens, moving the focus away from the shame of your behaviors and toward the source of your pain.

I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all model. I tailor my toolkit to your specific nervous system, borrowing tools from DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy) when you need tangible coping strategies, while using Psychodynamic and Attachment theories—pioneered by figures like Freud—to understand how your past and your external environment are pulling the strings in your present. I also pay close attention to often-overlooked factors like ADHD, which can fundamentally change how you process the world.

For years, I sat in therapy where the focus was strictly on my behaviors, leaving me drowning in shame. Thank God for the work of Gabor Maté, who helped me realize it was never about 'what is wrong with you,' but rather 'what happened to you?' My goal as to help you stop white-knuckling the symptoms and finally address the roots. Whether you are in Quebec or elsewhere in Canada, we will work together to build a roadmap that actually fits your life

I could write for days about trauma-informed care. About nervous systems. About attachment wounds. About the modalities I’ve trained in and the research behind them. But if you’re here, you probably don’t care about buzzwords. You care about one thing:
